For nearly 20 years, Battles have been smashing and twisting genres, picking up global recognition along the way. Their edgy and direct sound pulls the listener from rock to ambient to electronica and back again. No surprise then that they’re also breaking convention on metapop and are challenging the metapop community to remix an album and not just a track.
Their latest release “Juice B Crypts” comprises 10 tracks, each with its own strong character. The challenge is to remix the sound of the entire album, paying tribute to it while encapsulating its spirit. Use at least five of the provided samples and a lot of your own creative energy.
